Phoenix, AZ – The Prephoops Next Circuit came to Phoenix for War In The Valley. The event took place Saturday, April 10th, and concluded Sunday, April 11th with bracket play. Over 35 teams participated in the event featuring teams from California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. It also featured several promising big men. In this article, we take a look at the top Bigs from the event.
6’7 C JB White Elite 2025 (featured image) – Walls showed the ability to completely dominate games at times. He moves well, showed decent hands, and was able to finish down low. His athletic ability is coming along nicely, as he had several big boy dunks throughout the weekend.
Daniel Lavato 6’5 PF JB White Elite 2025 – Lavato has been so good on the circuit that I think sometimes we take his production for granted. He did numbers all weekend, scoring around the basket, rebounding, and protecting the rim. He’s a talented, passionate player who raises the competitive nature of the teammates around him.
Max Van Laningham 6’4 C YBA 2026 – I don’t think Max was at his best this weekend, however, he still brought it. He’s a perfect example of how players can impact games even without scoring. His rebounding and shot-blocking started a ton of breaks for the YBA guards. MVL is a fluid runner, who challenged anything close even showing enough range and timing to alter and block jump shots.
Kendan Jones 6’7 C Progress Feels Best 2025 – Kendan Jones was fun to watch. It’s difficult to miss such a massive young player, however, he showed more than just size. He did the obligatory banging down low, but he also displayed a surprisingly nice outside touch, even making a 3 in the game I watched.
David Lunn 5’11 PG JB White Elite 2027 – It was fun to see Lunn bouncing off bodies on his way to the basket. He’s a tough face-up four type that was able to score off dribble drives and post moves. I’ve seen him a few times and what I liked most was his ability to play through contact while finishing around the rim. He did this several times during the weekend.
